If you are interested in working for international organisations, this intern programme will provide you with a good opportunity to experience their activities. World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) is the intergovernmental organisation responsible for improving animal health worldwide and has a total of 181 Member Countries. OIE’s international standards, which are designed to prevent and control animal diseases while ensuring the sanitary safety of world trade in animals and animal products, are recognised as references by the World Trade Organisation (WTO). You can know the role and activities of OIE through lectures. OIE has a global network of Reference Centres which are designated as a world reference centres of expertise on designated pathogens or diseases, or as a world centres of research, expertise, standardisation of techniques and dessemination of knowledge on a specialty. OIE Regional Representation for Asia and the Pacific is collaborating on Avian Health Workshop in Tokyo on 17-19 July 2018. You can participate in the meeting as a observer and note taker and work as supporting staff for meeting logistic.

- Within 10 days after the completion of the programme, participating students are to submit a report in English up to 1,000 words consisting of 1) their own thoughts about OIE activities; 2) lessons learnt from organising an international meeting; and 3) their own view to solve challenges raised during the meeting.

- プログラム概略
Interns are to learn about the roles of OIE and how OIE international meetings are organised through actual pariticipation. The intern will help preparation of the meeting and will participate in 2018 Avian Health Workshop on 17-19 July 2018 in Tokyo. In addition, the interns will be given lectures on OIE activities by staff of OIE Regional Representation for Asia and the Pacific in Japanese or in English.
